The reorganization is focused on improving execution across the enterprise to drive improved business performance.

USA – Clorox has announced a streamlined operating structure intended to sharpen leadership oversight, concentrate resources on the company’s highest-growth opportunities, accelerate portfolio optimization, and speed execution to improve overall business performance.
Key leadership changes include Chris Hyder being named executive vice president and chief operating officer, a role that consolidates leadership of all business units under a single executive to drive end-to-end execution across the enterprise.
The new structure is intended to reduce organizational complexity, increase accountability, and strengthen operational performance by placing business-unit execution under clearer, centralized oversight.
Nina Barton will move from her prior role as executive vice president and group president, Care & Connection, to a newly created position, executive vice president, chief growth & strategy officer, where she will be responsible for innovation, value superiority, strategy, and portfolio shaping to position the company for faster growth.
Commercial functions will report into this position to create a more integrated, proactive approach to evolving consumer trends.
Chair and CEO Linda Rendle stated, “This refined operating structure will help us move faster and deliver stronger results as we continue to focus our investment behind faster-growing health and hygiene categories.”
“Chris will play a critical role as COO in advancing our strategy and strengthening execution across all our businesses, while Nina’s deep brand-building expertise will help drive innovation and brand value superiority.”
He added, “I look forward to working with Chris and Nina to drive sustainable, profitable growth and enhanced shareholder value creation that Clorox’s categories, brands and capabilities are positioned to deliver.”
This move comes shortly after the Clorox Company entered a pivotal leadership transition after Chair and CEO Linda Rendle announced she is stepping down for health reasons, prompting the Board of Directors to launch a comprehensive search for the company’s next chief executive.
Rendle cited health reasons after much thoughtful consideration for her decision to step down.
She was named CEO in September 2020 and added the Board Chair role in January 2024, becoming one of the few women leading an S&P 500 company when promoted amid a 22% sales jump during the pandemic.
