Aptar Beauty commences US production of AAT aerosol valve
Brands can pair the valve with Aptar Beauty’s premium actuators to boost shelf appeal and consumer experience.
USA – Aptar Beauty, a global leader in dispensing solutions, has begun U.S. production of its AAT Vertical Slider Aerosol Valve at its Cary, Illinois, facility.
The valve is engineered to reliably dispense complex, particle-rich formulations in pressurized packaging, producing a smooth, consistent spray that improves the end-user experience while shortening lead times and accelerating speed to market.
Its 3.5-mm straight-shank stem design addresses common clogging issues found in conventional valves, where stem-gasket flexing during actuation can trap powder between the gasket and stem, causing build-up, inconsistent performance, blockages, propellant leakage and reduced product evacuation.
By minimizing gasket flex and actively wiping residual powder from the stem with each use, the AAT valve reduces clogging, prevents propellant leaks that can create “dead cans,” and maintains efficient discharge.

The AAT Vertical Slider is suited to a growing range of aerosolized powder applications across beauty, personal care, industrial and home-care categories, from dry shampoos, glitter sprays and shimmer mists to hair volumizers, makeup setting sprays, all-over deodorants, foot powders, shimmer paints and insect repellent.
The portfolio includes twist-to-lock actuators like the Tina (with patented twist-to-lock and audible Double Click technology, anti-slip ribs and a premium matte finish that can cut resin use by up to 55%), hooded styles such as Meridian and WS-series options, and button actuators like WAZ and XL400.
Several actuator styles are available in matte or gloss finishes, customizable colours, and e-commerce-capable configurations, or are currently in testing.
