CeraVe expands portfolio with new Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Water Gel

The product is now available exclusively on Amazon, with broader online and in-store availability planned later.

USA – CeraVe, the U.S.’s top dermatologist-recommended skincare brand, has launched its new Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Water Gel Face Moisturizer as an Amazon exclusive.

The lightweight, dry-touch gel is designed to deliver deep hydration quickly, with the brand saying it provides plumping moisture in seconds, supports 72-hour hydration, and helps strengthen the skin barrier within one hour.

Developed with dermatologists, the formula features CeraVe’s patent-pending Ceramide Booster Technology, which uses pre-ceramides to help reinforce the skin barrier, lock in moisture, and keep outside irritants out.

The brand explains that when the barrier is weakened by factors like pollution and dust, skin can feel dry, tight, and irritated, and hyaluronic acid may be less effective at holding moisture.

By improving barrier strength, the formula is meant to help hyaluronic acid work more effectively and deliver longer-lasting hydration.

The moisturizer also includes three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid, MVE Technology for gradual release of moisturizing ingredients, and Copper PCA, which gives the product its distinctive blue color and antioxidant support.

Dermatologist Dr. Heather Woolery-Lloyd said, “A healthy barrier helps lock in hydration and keep external aggressors out.”

“The new CeraVe Hydrating HA Water Gel is a great addition to a moisturizing routine because it has a lightweight formula that helps create a watertight seal and reinforce the barrier so skin can retain moisture for days while staying balanced.”

Clinical and consumer testing showed strong results. The product was clinically shown to improve the appearance of skin smoothness by 31% immediately after application. It also reduced the appearance of redness by 20% after one week and 39% after four weeks.

In consumer studies, 97% of participants said their skin looked more hydrated after one week, 94% felt their skin was more supple and looked smoother, 92% said their skin looked healthier, 91% said their skin appeared more plump after two weeks, and 85% said it looked more glowy, radiant, and plump after one week.

CeraVe General Manager Esther García said the launch builds on the brand’s more than 20 years of experience with ceramides and skin barrier care.

The launch adds to CeraVe’s dermatologist-developed skincare lineup, which is built around skin-identical ceramides and ingredients that support daily barrier care.
