Solabia described the closing as an important milestone that supports its wider expansion strategy.

SWITZERLAND – Solabia Group has completed its acquisition of Mibelle Biochemistry, the Swiss ingredients specialist known for science-backed actives used in cosmetics and nutraceuticals.
Originally announced in February 2026, the transaction is a major move in Solabia’s growth plan and reinforces its position in biotechnology-based, natural, and high-performance ingredients.
The company sees the acquisition as a way to deepen its capabilities in biotech-driven ingredients while strengthening its reach across beauty and wellness markets.
Jean-Baptiste Dellon, CEO of Solabia, said the completion opens a new chapter for both companies. He noted that the two teams are aligned on scientific excellence, sustainable innovation, and staying close to customers.
By combining Solabia’s international presence and industrial expertise with Mibelle Biochemistry’s innovation track record, the group expects to expand its ingredient portfolio and move faster on differentiated solutions.
The goal is to create stronger offerings for customers in the beauty and well-being space.
Cornelia Schürch, who leads Mibelle Biochemistry, said that joining Solabia gives the company an opportunity to build on its scientific foundation while opening the door to broader international development.
She added that the business is eager to keep delivering innovative, high-quality ingredients to customers worldwide.
Founded in Switzerland in 1991, Mibelle Biochemistry has built a reputation in plant stem cell technology and modern biotechnology.
Its products cover skin beauty, healthy aging, hair care, and cognitive support, and they are distributed in more than 50 countries.
The company has continued to push new ingredient concepts for personal care.
One recent launch was EpiCalsome, described as a breakthrough approach to calcium delivery in skincare, amid Mibelle’s highlighted growing importance of electrolytes such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium in modern formulas.
At In-Cosmetics Global 2026, Mibelle Biochemistry also introduced longevity-focused ingredients for skin and hair care.
These included EpiSnow, designed to target the skin’s biological aging clock and address seven hallmarks of aging, as well as PhytoSpherix Hair, a plant-based ingredient sourced from sweet corn that delivers glycogen to hair follicles to support energy and growth.
The acquisition gives Solabia access to a stronger innovation pipeline and a wider platform for commercial growth.
It also allows Mibelle Biochemistry to benefit from Solabia’s scale while maintaining its science-led identity and product development focus.
Together, the companies are positioning themselves to serve global demand for effective, sustainable, and differentiated ingredients.
The combined business is expected to play a bigger role in the future of biotech-based personal care and nutraceutical solutions.
