HEIR enters perfume market with launch of five-scent collection

Though founded by an Indian entrepreneur, HEIR has leveraged a global network of perfumers, suppliers, and manufacturers in its product development.

INDIA – Luxury fragrance startup HEIR has officially launched its debut collection of five Eau de Parfum scents, marking its entry into the premium perfume segment as a niche fragrance house.

According to the brand, the collection, which took nearly 18 months to develop, was crafted in partnership with master perfumer Michael Ælfric Nordstrand, known for his work with brands such as Jo Malone and Tom Ford.

The inaugural lineup, comprising Atlas, Miras, Lano, Nectra, and Kedara, features uniquely formulated fragrances designed for a global audience.

According to the brand, each scent blends internationally sourced ingredients with thoughtfully curated profiles, reflecting HEIR’s emphasis on craftsmanship and originality.

Each fragrance boasts a distinct aromatic signature: Atlas fuses saffron, oud, tamboti, and cedar; Miras combines cardamom, orris root, and cacao; Lano centres on floral notes enhanced by melon and muhuhu bark; Nectra mixes rambutan, hibiscus, and elderflower; and Kedara unites pink pepper, hinoki wood, and Chinese cedar.

The perfumes are blended in Spain using raw materials gathered from various regions worldwide and bottled exclusively for the brand.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka Malhotra, Founder of HEIR, said, “Our aim was to create a fragrance house grounded in craft, originality, and emotional depth, crafting scents that people choose to keep, revisit, and eventually pass on.”

HEIR has also invested in bespoke packaging, including ribbed glass bottles and velvet-lined presentation boxes, designed specifically to convey its luxury identity rather than relying on generic solutions.

The brand’s vision is to become an internationally recognized luxury fragrance house known for quality and artistry while offering a distinct Indian perspective in the global perfume landscape.

To fuel its growth, HEIR recently secured ₹2 crore (USD 27.2 million) in pre-seed funding from a consortium of notable founders and entrepreneurs, including Niraj Singh (Spinny), Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal (Mokobara), Arjun Vaidya (V3 Ventures), Kishore Biyani (Future Group), Bala Sarda (Vahdam), Deep Bajaj (Sirona Hygiene), Suyash Saraf (Dot & Key Skincare), and Radhika Ghai (Kindlife), among others.

Following its India launch, HEIR plans a selective international expansion by 2027, alongside the introduction of new fragrances and lifestyle products under its brand.
