Prodifac deploys seven Leibinger CIJ printers for 60-micron precision on luxury cosmetic packaging

MONACO – Prodifac has deployed seven Leibinger Jet2 Neo S continuous inkjet printers across its Monaco facility, using 60-micron nozzle technology to apply lot numbers and expiry dates on glass vials, plastic packaging and cardboard cartons for luxury cosmetic and medical device production.
The family-owned company, founded in 1984, develops and manufactures cosmetic products, biocides and Class I medical devices for international brands and beauty institutes.
The Jet2 Neo S printers, installed following a switch from a previous supplier in 2021, are specifically engineered for high-precision fine printing on small packaging formats, including serum ampoules with diameters under 10mm.

Seamless Job Changes and Reliable Operation Drive Production Efficiency
Switching between print jobs when changing packaging formats is handled directly at the printer without extensive reconfiguration, addressing a previous operational bottleneck.
Alain de Roany, managing director of Prodifac, stated that the Leibinger printers are clean, precise, and allow the company to produce without any hiccups or interruptions.
Bruno Fauquet, purchasing and logistics director, noted that competitors had consistently disappointed with equipment reliability and interface usability for format changes, whereas with Leibinger everything is automatic.
The printers eliminate downtime, extensive cleaning and unexpected stoppages, allowing the team to focus entirely on research, innovation and developing new products.

Local technical support is provided by Codeco, Leibinger’s long-standing distribution partner in the region, which Prodifac cites alongside the technology itself as a factor in its decision to standardise on the platform.
