Langan will join Coty on 13 October and will be based in New York.

USA – Coty Inc. has named Kara Langan General Manager of its Consumer Beauty business in the United States, strengthening its leadership team as it seeks to accelerate growth in one of its most significant markets.
Her appointment follows the recent addition of Vanessa Kidd as Executive Vice President for Lifestyle Scenting Global Brands and New Product Development, highlighting Coty’s continued investment in senior talent across its Consumer Beauty division.
As General Manager of Consumer Beauty U.S., Langan will lead Coty’s Consumer Beauty operations across the United States.
Her responsibilities will include shaping commercial strategy, driving innovation and overseeing brand performance across the company’s Consumer Beauty portfolio.
She will report directly to Amaury De Vallois, Executive Vice President for UUCAN, while also maintaining a dotted-line reporting relationship with Gordon von Bretten, President of Consumer Beauty.
Gordon von Bretten, President of Consumer Beauty at Coty, said the appointments of Langan and Kidd reflect progress across the business and Coty’s ability to attract experienced industry leaders.
Gordon said, “Kara and Vanessa are proven leaders with outstanding track records of transforming brands, driving growth, and building high-performing teams.”
“Their appointments reflect the momentum we are building across Consumer Beauty and our ability to attract top industry talent. As we continue to execute our strategy and invest behind our brands, these leaders bring the expertise and perspectives needed to strengthen our business and unlock future growth.”
Langan brings more than 20 years of experience across major beauty and personal-care categories, including fragrance, colour cosmetics, skincare, hair care and personal care.
Her career has focused on leading established consumer brands, accelerating growth and improving relevance with changing consumer audiences.
Most recently, she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Face and Skincare at Evermark.
In that role, she led marketing for a portfolio of heritage beauty brands and worked to increase their appeal among younger consumer groups.
Her approach included creator partnerships, influencer engagement, and social-commerce strategies to modernise brand communication and strengthen consumer connection.
Before joining Evermark, Langan held several senior leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson Consumer.
Among these was her role as Global President of Vogue International, the hair-care business behind the OGX brand. During her leadership, the business was successfully returned to growth.
Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at Elizabeth Arden and Revlon, where she contributed to brand transformation and growth initiatives across fragrance, skincare and makeup categories.
Earlier this year, Coty welcomed Vanessa Kidd as Executive Vice President for Lifestyle Scenting Global Brands and New Product Development. Reporting to Gordon von Bretten, Kidd leads Coty’s global Lifestyle Scenting business within Consumer Beauty.
With more than 25 years of experience spanning fragrance, colour cosmetics and personal care, Kidd also plays a key role in advancing Coty’s Future of Scenting strategy.
Her remit includes helping shape the innovation pipeline and advancing the company’s approach to fragrance-led consumer products.
The appointments of Kara Langan and Vanessa Kidd demonstrate Coty’s focus on strengthening its Consumer Beauty leadership structure and building the capabilities required for sustained growth.
By bringing in leaders with deep experience in brand building, commercial performance, innovation and modern consumer engagement, the company aims to enhance execution across its portfolio and respond more effectively to changing beauty-market opportunities.
