NIVEA’s strategy is to make this transition simple and accessible by introducing body serums that can be layered with familiar body lotions for enhanced results.

SOUTH AFRICA – NIVEA South Africa has unveiled its Limited Edition Extra Bright Body Serum range, a skincare-inspired body care line that encourages consumers to treat their bodies with the same targeted, ingredient-led attention they already give their faces.
The Limited Edition Extra Bright Body Serum range comprises three targeted formulations, each designed to address dullness, uneven tone and texture while delivering moisturisation and UV protection.
The NIVEA Extra Bright C&A Vitamin Body Serum combines Retinyl Palmitate (a Vitamin A derivative), Niacinamide and Glycerin to help reduce the appearance of dark spots while moisturising and offering UV protection for an even skin tone and dewy glow.
The NIVEA Extra Bright C&E Vitamin Body Serum is enriched with Vitamins C and E, Niacinamide and Glycerin to support a healthy, bright and plump-looking appearance while hydrating and providing UV protection.
Meanwhile, the NIVEA Extra Bright C&AHA Skin Renewal features AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), Vitamin C, Glycerin and Shea Butter to exfoliate and smooth the skin’s surface while moisturising and delivering UV protection.
Across the range, NIVEA integrates powerful skincare ingredients traditionally associated with facial care, such as Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Retinyl Palmitate and AHAs, into everyday body care, enabling consumers to layer targeted treatments into existing routines for visible radiance and more even skin tone in as little as seven days.
Angela Nxumalo, Brand Manager for NIVEA South Africa, stated, “For generations, NIVEA has been part of South Africans’ daily body care routines.”
“With Extra Bright, we’re introducing a new layer to that routine by bringing skincare-inspired ingredients into body care in a way that feels simple, effective and accessible.”
The launch, marked by an exclusive media luncheon at Ukko Restaurant in Bryanston, introduced the new range through an immersive brand experience that culminated in a striking campaign stunt: the arrival of a restored 1964 Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet, symbolising a new era in body care.
Leading the campaign are South African personalities Lerato Nxumalo and Ntando Rambani, chosen for their authentic approach to beauty and self-expression, values that align with the Extra Bright range’s emphasis on intentional, skincare-led body routines.
Positioned as more than a product extension, the launch responds to a broader shift in consumer behaviour where body care is becoming increasingly ingredient-focused and routine-driven.
The launch comes at a time when facial skincare has evolved to include actives like Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Glutathione for specific concerns, consumers now expect similar efficacy from body products.
