Bosch expands top-load washing machine range in India

This move reflects Bosch’s focus on combining modern design with user‑friendly features to strengthen its appeal in India’s growing washing‑machine market.

INDIA – Bosch has expanded its India washing‑machine lineup by launching a new range of fully automatic top‑load washing machines from 7 kg up to 12 kg, targeting both small urban households and large families in tier‑2 and tier‑3 cities.

This expansion is part of parent company BSH Home Appliances’ strategy to strengthen its presence in the fast‑growing automatic top‑load (ATL) segment and accelerate the shift from semi‑automatic to fully automatic machines.

The new Bosch top‑load range includes multiple capacities, 7 kg, 8 kg, 9 kg, 10 kg, and 12 kg, to suit different household sizes and usage patterns (single users to large joint families).

These models are positioned across value-to-premium price formats, making Bosch’s technology accessible to a broader segment of Indian consumers.digit+2

Bosch pitches the series on “intelligent features” and a next‑generation user interface, including touch controls and a clearly visible display for easier operation. The machines use PowerWave Wash technology, a multi‑directional wash system, and 2× lint filtration, which the company claims combine powerful cleaning with gentler fabric care.

According to the brand, each model also offers around 10 wash programmes, plus design touches such as tempered‑glass lids and darker finishes, including Dark Lake, Black Pearl and Grey, aimed at premium aesthetics.

In addition, the new washing machines come with upgraded display interfaces, more lightweight control buttons, and soft‑close tempered glass lids designed to enhance user convenience.

BSH Home Appliances describes the move as a “Make in India, for India” push, aligning local production with evolving Indian laundry habits and higher expectations for automation and performance.

The company aims to triple its top‑load washing‑machine volumes and double its market share in this segment, particularly by capturing demand in tier‑2 and tier‑3 cities where consumers are upgrading from semi‑automatic to fully automatic machines.

The new 7 kg–12 kg Bosch top‑load washing machines are being rolled out nationwide through leading electronics retailers and other sales channels.

However Bosch has not yet announced full price lists publicly, the range is explicitly structured to cover multiple price bands, from entry‑level to more premium models within the 7–12 kg bracket.
