Meadow and Ball Corporation partner to introduce wall-mounted personal care dispenser

SWEDEN – Swedish packaging technology firm Meadow has joined forces with Ball Corporation to launch the Meadow Kapsul SleeveLock, a wall-mounted refillable dispenser system designed specifically for personal care products in the hospitality industry. 

The collaboration addresses growing regulatory pressure from both the EU and US to eliminate single-use packaging, with the system positioned to replace miniature toiletry bottles entirely by 2027. 

The solution targets hotels, salons, and spas that need to balance sustainability mandates with operational efficiency and guest experience expectations.

The system’s standout operational advantage is its 22-second refill time, achieved by replacing an entire aluminium can cartridge rather than decanting product from bulk containers.

This eliminates the need for funnels, spouts, or pouring, standing in stark contrast to traditional bulk dispensers that can require up to four minutes to refill. 

The aluminum cans are lighter and easier for housekeeping staff to carry than large bulk containers, and the complete cartridge replacement at each refill eliminates cross-contamination risks inherent in refillable systems. 

The dispenser features a discreet, customizable fill-level indicator for quick staff training, is tamper-free by design, requires no finger contact during pump changes, and has an exterior engineered to prevent water pooling.

Alba 113, a personal care supplier with over a century of experience crafting natural, high-performance products for the hotel industry, is currently in discussions for early adoption of the Kapsul SleeveLock system.
