Givaudan celebrates 80th anniversary of its perfumery school

SWITZERLAND – Givaudan has celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Givaudan Perfumery School, a leading institution that links the heritage, present practice, and future of perfumery by training successive generations of outstanding talent.
Over the decades, graduates of the school have combined creativity with scientific excellence, with twenty-eight perfumers inducted into the School’s Hall of Fame for creating fragrances that have made a lasting impact on the industry.

Givaudan has hosted an anniversary event led by Calice Becker, bringing together multiple generations of perfumers to pay tribute to the spirit of excellence, knowledge transmission, and heritage that has defined the school for 80 years and continues to shape its daily work and future trajectory.
During the celebration, guests explored a Hall of Fame tribute to the 28 perfumers behind some of the industry’s most iconic creations and examined the artistic signatures of 33 alumni now active in the field.
In a similar move, IFF recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its industry-leading accredited master ‘s-level program for scent design and creation, developed in partnership with ISIPCA, the world-renowned school for careers in perfume, cosmetics and food flavours.
The IFF ISIPCA Scent Design and Creation program has been pioneering fragrance education and excellence since 2016, when the partnership was originally signed. Located at ISIPCA’s Versailles, France campus, this three-year master’s program represents the first and only accredited program of its kind in the fragrance industry.
Since its launch in 2016, the IFF ISIPCA program has trained more than 180 professionals from 40 countries, with 130 graduates to date, and maintains an impressive 100% job-placement rate within 6 months of graduation. .
