Iberchem reaffirms community commitment with educational support in Qinghai

This move brings together more than 20 industry players to support high-performing yet economically disadvantaged students in the Sanjiangyuan region.

CHINA – Iberchem has renewed its partnership with Qinghai Sanjiangyuan Ethnic Middle School under a charity education project organized by the China Fragrance, Perfume and Cosmetics Industry Association.

As part of the initiative, Iberchem provided financial assistance, school supplies and specially formulated personal care products designed for high-altitude plateau conditions.

In addition, it also delivers practical guidance sessions that helped students understand how the harsh highland climate, characterized by dryness, intense sunlight and low oxygen, affects skin health and daily personal care routines.

Located in central Qinghai Province, the Sanjiangyuan area is the source of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers and is widely known as the “Water Tower of China” because of its pivotal role in ecological protection, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, making investment in local education a strategic priority for the region’s long-term socioeconomic resilience.

Following the charity activities, Iberchem participated in the 2nd Qinghai Cosmetic Ingredients Innovation and Development Conference, reaffirming its commitment to Qinghai’s sustainable industry goals.

The company pledged to protect the plateau’s fragile ecosystem while responsibly exploring its rich natural aromatic resources to advance natural cosmetic and sustainable fragrance ingredients in China.

Through this renewed collaboration, Iberchem is strengthening a social impact model that integrates charitable education, industry innovation platforms in Qinghai and responsible sourcing of local raw materials.

This approach extends its contribution beyond traditional philanthropy to encompass social responsibility, environmental protection and sustainable fragrance innovation for the benefit of local communities and the wider industry.

Recently, Iberchem has opened a new 30,000-sqm centre in Guangzhou’s Zengcheng District to strengthen its next phase of growth in China and across Asia.

Iberchem officially inaugurated the site in Guangzhou, with diplomats and commercial attachés from China, Spain, and the United Kingdom attending the ceremony alongside senior leaders from Croda and Iberchem.

The facility combines expanded R&D, offices, production, and warehousing on a single site and is built to meet rising regional demand and increasingly sophisticated fragrance expectations.

The new centre comprises five buildings focused mainly on fragrances and integrates expanded R&D laboratories, offices, a production centre, and a warehouse into a single location.
